No problem, Tom!
You may be interested in a book edited by Steven Walfish called Earning a Living Outside of Managed Mental Health Care: 50 Ways to Expand Your Practice. Another option would be to continue to serve the managed care patients you currently have, but to stop accepting new ones. At the same time, increase your marketing since you’ll need more calls if you’re only taking cash patients. Good luck!
Your service sounds interesting. I’m not so much needing a way of adding more patients as in reconfiguring my practice. I’m very sick of Managed Care intrusions. (Blue Cross just informed me that ,after an audit, they are taking away 17k because of incorrect billing codes. And these were codes and procedures recommended by them! I’d like to explore other options for myself to get away from the “Managed Care dime”. Any thoughts?
